| At VYARA, you have options to choose from probably the widest range of finishes for Concrete Paving Materials.
High product quality from VYARA enable several Secondary finishing processes to be carried out. Most of these are carried out on automatic machines with variable controls to accurately arrive at the extent of finish required.
Shotblasting Coating Rustic- Aging Washbeton Curling Etchblasting
Shotblasting
This is a process where the cast Concrete surface is peened by steel shots at high velocity, to impart a slightly roughened surface. The main advantages of the process include :
- Texturing of material for a fine architectural finish
- Total cleaning of the concrete surface off any ungainly efflorescence
- Exposing of aggregates- for a nice weathered look. Of course, the aggregates could also be of contrasting colours, which would further increase the ‘character’ of the paving material
- Imparting some evenness to the concrete
If the shotblasted material is likely to be subjected to dust and dirt, we strongly recommend the surface be sealed/ coated for protection and better looks.
Vyara has high output shotblasting machines which can ensure you timely deliveries for even bulk requirements. Top
Coating
The process involves a lacquer application on the concrete surface to reduce surface absorption. Coating in India is normally done with acrylic polymer materials and the same is shine imparting and film forming. The surface needs to be normally cleaned either by shotblasting , brushing etc before coating can be carried out.
The main advantages include:
- Reduced surface absorption
- Darkened Colours
- Sheen on product.
- Increased evenness

Rustic- Aging
The process involves the controlled damaging of the materials to break off the edges and impart an antique, worn out look. The antiqued look may be further treated with shotblasting and or coating etc to further enhance its beauty.

Washbeton
The process of ‘washing’ involves controlled washing of fresh or semi fresh concrete products in a manner whereby a controlled exposure of aggregates is obtained. Typically, aggregates are exposed by about 25-30% of their total size. The washing process can add tremendously to the finish of the concrete depending on the size, colour, shape and combination of the aggregates used.
VYARA strongly recommends the surface be sealed/ coated for protection and better looks.

Curling
Much like washing, this process involves exposing of aggregates, but to a much lesser extent, to impart a velvet-like feel to the concrete material. This is a dry process unlike ‘washing’, which is a wet process. The aggregates may or may not be previously exposed.
VYARA strongly recommends the surface be sealed/ coated for protection and better looks.

Etchblasting
The process involves use of stencils to etch out patterns on previously polished/unpolished concrete surfaces. Different textures are obtained within single concrete pieces and these greatly add to the charm of concrete.
